Garden Committee Desert Potluck + Guided Wildflower Walk – Hosted by Don Rideout

Join us for our first Garden Committee potluck meeting in the desert, hosted at the Borrego Springs home of Don Rideout.
We will begin with a short meeting and time to enjoy Don’s native plant garden (with the hope that desert lilies may be in bloom). Don will then lead a two-hour guided wildflower trail hike to see what is blooming across the desert. Afterward, we will return for a potluck lunch — or you are welcome to enjoy lunch locally.
Registration: Space is limited — please register to reserve your spot. The address and arrival details will be emailed about one week prior to the event.
What to bring: Hat, sunscreen, comfortable hiking shoes/clothing, water bottle, folding chair (optional).
Lunch: Potluck dish to share (optional) — or enjoy lunch in town on your own.
Make a weekend of it
March is one of the most popular times to visit Anza-Borrego, with the possibility of strong wildflower blooms. If you plan to stay overnight, consider booking early. Don’s lodging suggestions are included at the bottom of the registration form.
