Grow With Us: Planting Natives at The Nat

Be part of something green and meaningful, and help us add over 200 native plants to our garden!
Join us for a hands-on, community-driven event as we enhance the native plant garden at The Nat.
Native plants play a vital role in supporting biodiversity, conserving water, and creating habitat for local wildlife. With your help, we’ll be planting over 200 native plants throughout our Nature Trail, growing a space that will benefit both people and nature for years to come. Whether you’re an experienced gardener or a first-time planter, this is an opportunity to get your hands in the soil, learn from native plant experts, and connect with others who care about conservation and sustainability.
What to expect:
Guided Planting: Work alongside fellow volunteers to plant and establish native species that will thrive in our region.
Demonstration & Education: Experts from the Barona Cultural Society Museum, Tree of Life Nursery, Native West Nursery, City Farmers Nursery, and the California Native Plant Society San Diego (CNPS SD) will provide step-by-step guidance on proper planting techniques and native plant care.
Why It Matters: Discover how native plants support local ecosystems, attract pollinators, and contribute to a more resilient environment.
How to Participate: RSVP below. This event is free and open to all ages; no prior gardening experience is needed!
Together, we can create a garden that nurtures the environment and our community. See you in the garden!
